IIFT 2016 entrance exam Result for admission to full time MBA(IB) 2017-19 has been declared in the evening on December 23, 2016. IIFT has shortlisted 1973 candidates for final admission round and has posted the list on its site. Around 45000 aspirants appeared in IIFT 2016 entrance exam on Nov 27, 2016 vying for 360 seats in IIFT Delhi & Kolkata campuses.

MBA(IB) programme at IIFT is its flagship programme and is available at its New Delhi and Kolkata campuses in India and at Dar-es-Salaam campus in Tanzania. For an intake of around 360 seats 1973 candidates from all categories have been shortlisted for GD-PI-WAT round.

The shortlist comprising 1973 candidates is according to roll number and contains candidates from all categories. The final admission offer will be made post GD-PI-WAT round.

The GD-PI-WAT round at IIFT
The shortlisted candidates will have to go through the rigorous process of IIFT final admission round which consists of Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The GD-PI-WAT round for MBA(IB) programme at IIFT is expected to take place from January 2017 onwards and final admission offers are expected to be received by the candidates by the end of March 2017.

Exam held on Nov 27
IIFT 2016 entrance test for the MBA(IB) batch 2017-19 was conducted on November 27, 2016 at 20 test centres across India namely, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

IIFT MBA(IB) entrance test is conventional paper pencil mode test with 2 hours duration from 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon.

IIFT 2016: A different exam
The written admission test 2016 to MBA Programme 2017-19 in IIFT consisted of multiple choice objective type questions (in English) divided in 4 sections. It comprised the questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. The candidate could attempt any question from any section during the time allotted to attempt the test in the examination.

IIFT entrance test doesn’t have any pre declared fixed number of questions either over all or section wise. Total number of questions in IIFT 2016 exam was 123 as against last year where 124 questions were placed in the exam. The weightage to LRDI section was increased to 36.5% in IIFT 2016 from 33% in IIFT 2015.

Number of questions goes on varying every year in different sections as well as overall. The total number of questions in IIFT entrance test goes anywhere from 115 to 130.

Questions in different sections and sub sections in IIFT entrance exam carry different marking pattern. While overall maximum marks are 100, the maximum marks allotted to different questions vary from 0.5 to 1. Sectional cut offs also play an important role and a candidate has to clear them as well.  Penalty of one third marks is awarded for every wrong answer in IIFT entrance exam.

IIFT high RoI institute
Registration to IIFT MBA (IB) entrance exam opens in the month of July every year. The exam is one of the most preferred ones as the MBA (IB) programme at IIFT offers great learning experience and high placement packages. Placement 2016 at IIFT concluded with high national and international salary packages with students grabbing annual package as high as of USD 1,50,000 (Rs 1 crore plus). The domestic highest packages in IIFT placement 2016 were up from Rs. 24 lakhs in 2015 to Rs. 29 lakhs in 2016 showing a rise of 21%. The average compensation stood at Rs.18.01 lakhs in placement 2016.
