The students at IMT Ghaziabad are one of the brightest lots among the top B-schools in India. Looking back into the year what these young brains were up to, apart from the academics that be, will only reassure one’s confidence in the quality of the students the institute attracts.  Keeping the IMT flag high, the students earned several accolades for the institute and for themselves.

ET Young Leaders 2016: PPI offered by Aditya Birla Group
In Nov 2016, Prateek Chaudhari of PGDM 2015-17 made his name to the ‘The Economic Times’ Young B-School 2016 edition which is a platform for recognising and rewarding the nation’s most promising final year management candidates through culminating in face-to-face interviews with leaders from the corporate world.

Prateek also won a PPI from the Aditya Birla Group Leadership Program. The program builds versatile next-generation leaders through structured leadership programs. Launched in 2007, the leadership program attracts some of the best talent from leading business schools in India and internationally.

RB Mavericks: Rs.5 lakhs cash prize to IMTG team
In Sep 2016, Dwaipayan Dey and Nandish Malhotra of PGDM 2015-17 secured second position at RB Mavericks Season 3 (formerly known as Reckitt Benckiser). RB Mavericks aims to identify the game changer every year who can redefine the norms in marketing and also challenges the sharpest minds among B-schools. IMT’s team was awarded with a cash prize worth Rs. Five Lakhs in the 10th edition of the Annual Case Study Competition.

ISB ‘Buzzinga’: Victory Tale continues
In the last leg of Sep 2016, Surbhi Gupta and Dhruv Dhawan, named team ‘ACE’, DCP 2015-17 continued the tale of victory by getting runners-up position in ‘Buzzinga’ at Indian School of Business’s fest – Advaita on September 26th 2016. The participants were asked to file a case study revolving around the need to address birth control measures among women in rural sector in India. The former rounds comprised of building a product strategy to spread awareness with an innovative branding and marketing idea without reducing their product price.

National Delloite: Student team awarded Cash prize of Rs.1.5 lakh
Once again in Sep 2016, Anisha Ahuja, Naman Midha, and Sana Grover of PGDM 2015-17 secured 2nd Position in Season 5 of National Delloite Maverick Competition. Deloitte, a large professional services organization, launched Season V of ‘Maverick’, its signature Industry-Academia connect program. A popular event in B-schools across India, the program connects with students from various campuses using an engaging business simulation format. The team bagged a ‘Runner’s up’ title along with a cash prize worth Rs. One Lakh and Fifty Thousand among the 15,000 entrants that the competition witnessed.

Google Plus: IMTG student team wins
On July 31st, Pratiksha Kumar, Rahul Jain and Shikhar Ahuja of DCP 2015-17 Batch, won the Google Plus and Social Media Marketing Award and also secured a semi-finalist position in Google Adwords Category. The competition saw over 500 professors and 10,000 students from more than 60 countries. The trio worked with “Community Tracks”, a non-profit organization in California that has a global agenda to provide under-served communities with sustainable technology solutions and associated education services that enhance the quality of life.

IMTG Students National finalists at L’Oreal Brandstorm in Paris
In July 2016, beating seven hundred teams from twenty-one business schools across 44 countries, the candidates, Anchal Rawal, Gaurav Malhan and Dewas Aggarwal of PGDM 2015-17 emerged as the national finalists for L’Oreal Brandstorm in Paris. The competition that is marked as one of the most prestigious B-School events across the globe had the trio competed against NMIMS Mumbai, SIBM Pune, IIM Lucknow and SCMHRD Pune in the finals.
