Although XLRI has announced to declare the XAT 2017 result by January 31 but going by the past trends and now release of official answer keys for XAT exam, it is expected that XAT 2017 result would be declared by January 26, 2017. However, XLRI has released the answer keys and question paper with explanation for XAT 2017 test questions. This is the 2nd year in a row that answer keys for non-percentile calculation section of GK have also been released.
The already released answer keys to XAT 2017 questions by XLRI for all the sets will enable the candidates to calculate their score and chances at XLRI even before the actual result declaration as they have the question booklet with them. This will help in arriving at the raw scores that the candidates would get in XAT 2017 eliminating any surprise element.

There were 4 question paper sets titled A, B, C, D in XAT 2017. XLRI has released a separate document which contains only answer keys in respect to each set of questions as well as all the 4 sets of answers to GK section questions. The entire question paper and the answer keys to XAT 2017 test MCQs for Part-1and Part-2 are available on the home page of XAT 2017 website for all to view. Last year only the candidates who had registered and made requisite payment for XAT 2016 were allowed to have access to MCQ answer keys and the question paper with explanation.

Check your chances at XLRI before actual result
You can very well check and calculate your expected score in XAT 2017. While the score in first 3 sections in XAT 2017 will be responsible for calculation of percentile on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted for final admission round, score in GK section will be accounted for in the final admission, the GD-PI round. If a candidate finds that he has performed well, he should be ready to get shortlisted by the relevant B-school.

Expected cut offs
XLRI has three programs, the HRM, the BM program and the Global MBA Program. The HRM program typically has a lower cutoff than the BM program.
With a score of 29 you could get 90 percentile while with 32 your percentile would go up to 94 in XAT 2017. Check your XAT 2017 percentile

It is the commendable transparency in the XAT 2017 process that will enable the candidates to assess themselves where they stand. XAT 2017 result is going to be declared latest by January 31, 2017 as assured by XAT 2017 convener Prof Munish Thakur. However, it is expected that XAT 2017 result would be announced much earlier around January 26 going by the past trends.
150+ B schools to accept XAT 2017 scores
Number of B-schools going to accept XAT 2016 scores have gone up from 120 in 2015 to 150 plus in 2017. Apart from the top rated B schools like XLRI, XIMB, SPJIMR, IMT, XISS, TAPMI, GIM, Great Lakes, MICA, LIBA, BIMTECH more than 140 B-schools will offer admission on the basis of XAT 2017 scores.
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2017 convened by XLRI, Jamshedpur was held on January 8, 2017 in a single session in 47 test cities across the country and 2 test cities abroad. XAT 2017 had the test duration of 3 and half hours (210) minutes with reduced number of 72 questions as compared to last year XAT which had 78 questions.
