CMAT 2017 will be of 400 marks test paper comprising 100 questions. Past trends reveal that not more than 300 marks could be scored by the highest scorer in CMAT exam. While all the MBA aspirants appearing in CMAT focus on other sections they forget the most important section General Awareness which is equally important.

CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern
CMAT 2017 will be an online computer based test for admission to 400 AICTE approved MBA/ PGDM courses 2017-19 batch across the country. CMAT 2017 paper pattern is to remain as per the previous years’ CMAT test pattern. A trial test to familiarize you with actual CMAT exam pattern is available at AICTE-CMAT website.
Duration of CMAT 2017 to be held on January 28, 2017 (January 29 kept as Reserve day) will of 3 hours from 9.30AM to 12.30PM. It will be a single day single session exam instead of earlier multiple days.
CMAT 2017 test paper is divided in 4 sections with 25 MCQs in each section carrying equal weightage. Total questions in CMAT 2017 are to remain 100. All questions will carry equal marks in CMAT 2017. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and there will be negative marking with 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Exam duration 3 hours from 9.30 to 12.30: Reporting time 8 A.M. (90 minutes before the exam)

CMAT 2017 Syllabus to prepare
CMAT 2017 Syllabus for the exam is more or less same as is for CAT or XAT exam. The only difference is that CMAT considers GK as important as other sections while there is no GK in CAT, and in XAT the GK despite being present is not counted for calculation of percentile score. Another key fact is that the difficulty level of CMAT questions is easier than in CAT or XAT.
