IIM Ahmedabad has announced the launch of 2 years e-mode PGP programme. Candidates who have appeared in CAT exam during last 3 years are eligible to apply for this unique programme.
Sharing about the PGP programme, IIM Ahmedabad has informed that the “e - mode” Post Graduate Diploma awarding program in Management (ePGP) is a long duration diploma program offered in hybrid learning mode, which combines sessions delivered through Interactive learning platform, class room based instruction, continuous evaluation and mentored project work.

Career prospects
According to IIM Ahmedabad, ‘The program will enable candidates to formally learn management through an upgrade of their knowledge and worldview, and earn a Diploma.’
Junior, mid and senior level professionals and entrepreneurs aiming for formal management education along with their job get the opportunity to pursue the PGP in e-mode.
Program Design
The program will constitute compulsory core courses followed by elective courses. Three separate campus modules are also planned.
The IIMA ePGP will be differentiated from other hybrid learning programs by:
- its General Management focus;
- its structure, incorporating a compulsory core and electives;
- its pedagogy, which will include a blend of experiential and participatory modes, including case studies, online lectures, projects, peer-to-peer learning, self-learning, simulations, and mentoring;
- faculty and resources of IIMA;
- IIMA’s alumni base (and membership of alumni association upon program completion); and
- evaluation of academic performance in each course based on multiple assessment criteria, including assignments, quizzes, class Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad participation, project work, end-term examinations, and other components.
Who can apply
A candidate with following can apply for admission
-- Holding at least a Bachelor’s Degree/CA/ICWA, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the recognized universities.
-- Aged 24 years and above.
-- Full time work experience of at least 3 years (36 months completed).
Admission Criteria
-- Candidates will be selected through a two-stage admission process comprising computerized admission test and personal interviews.
-- Applicants with valid CAT score OR GMAT score will be directly considered for the interview.
Exam Validity
CAT - A valid CAT score of test taken within the last 3 years i.e. 2014, 2015, and 2016
GMAT- A valid GMAT score taken within the last 5 years
-- Alternatively, applicants will have to take IIMA ePGP Admission Test (IAT).
-- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a round of personal interview at IIMA Campus.
Fee payment and structure
Application Fee is Rs.2000/- and the Program Fee is Rs. 17 lakhs. You have to pay the fee the Registration Fee Rs. 42,500/-. All Fees are payable directly to HGEIL, in instalments.

Academic Standards and Evaluation
All courses will be evaluated and grades awarded as per IIMA standards. Specific components of evaluation will vary from course to course, but will be within the overall framework adopted for other IIMA long duration programs – confirms IIM Ahmedabad.
Award of Diploma
IIM Ahmedabad will award a Diploma to all the participants who have satisfactorily fulfilled all the course requirements in a separate convocation ceremony at IIMA campus.
All those who pass ePGP and awarded Diploma by the Institute, are eligible for alumni status.
