Much awaited MAH-CET 2017 exam notification for admission to MBA/MMS 2017-19 has been released by DTE Maharashtra. The registration process for MAH CET 2017 has opened today on January 21, and will close on February 13, 2017. The State Common Entrance Cell – DTE Maharashtra has simultaneously announced the MAH CET 2017 exam dates which will be held on Match 4 & 5, 2017 across the country.

Announcing the entrance exam dates of MAH-MBA-CET 2017 for admission to MBA/MMS/ PGDM 2017-19 batch in 400+ B schools in Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has issued the notification bearing ref no. CETCELL/MBA-Notice/2017/44 dated 19/01/2017. DTE Maharashtra has taken care to issue the notification for Common Entrance Test 2017 in English Language.

Registration opens: Jan 21
Online Registration for MAH-MBA CET 2017 through computer connected to Internet on the web site www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2017 has been opened on January 21, 2017. The registration process, according to the schedule announced by DTE Maharashtra will close on February 13, 2017. The Registration & Application form to apply for MAH CET 2017 should be completed online and DTE Maharashtra will reject the registration form if it is submitted by post or courier.

Application fee
Application form processing fees is to be paid through online system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

For Open category
Application fee for open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals / PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates is Rs.1000/- (Rs. One thousand only)

For Reserved category
Application fee for candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and & Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only is Rs.800/- (Rs. Eight hundred only)

Eligibility to apply

Applicant must be a citizen of India and must be a graduate with 3 years bachelor’s degree with 50% marks from a recognized university/institute. A candidate in the final year of bachelor’s degree can also apply.

Issue of Hall tickets: Feb 23 onwards
Admit cards/ Hall Ticket will be issued through candidate’s login on website. The hall tickets will be issued only to the successfully registered candidates from February 23, 2017 and will be available till the exam date. No hard copy of the hall ticket is proposed to be sent to the candidate’s address. Aspirants shall have to download the hall ticket and will have to take the print of the same. Hall ticket will be the mandatory document to be carried to the test venue on the exam date.

MAH CET 2017 Syllabus
DTE Maharashtra has also announced the MAH CET 2017 syllabus for the exam. Section wise syllabus is shared below-

Logical and Abstract Reasoning
This shall include questions to measure how quickly and accurately you can think. The section may have questions based on figures and diagrams and also on Verbal Reasoning.

Quantitative Aptitude
This shall include questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage etc. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs & charts.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
This shall include the passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc.

Your English language ability would be tested through questions on-

(1) Understanding of the contents of the passages and 
(2) Choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.
   
MAH CET 2017: Exam pattern
MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2017 exam shall be conducted only in the online mode. The exam may be conducted in multiple sessions if required by Competent Authority, using standardized equi-percentile method to equate scores across sessions.

The exam will comprise multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Abstract Reasoning. In all there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours.

MAH CET 2017: Result date
DTE Maharashtra proposes to declare the MAH-MBACET 2017 result on March 10, 2017 at 5PM

MAH-CET is the official gateway for admissions to all the AICTE approved, University, University affiliated and private aided or unaided B-schools in the State of Maharashtra. Approximately 60000 candidates are offered admission in the B-schools across Maharashtra on the basis of MAH CET scores.

15% to 35% seat allocation is available for All India candidates appearing in MAH-CET exam but you need to apply direct to JBIMS as it will not offer admission through DTE CAP 2017 and will conduct its own counselling round. These candidates are also offered admission on the basis of their scores in All India MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA.

There are around 45000 seats in various management courses across Maharashtra which are proposed to be filled up on the basis of MAH-CET 2017 scores. MAH MBA-CET 2017 for admission to MBA/MMS in Maharashtra B schools offers a good opportunity for the candidates who wish to improve on their other MBA entrance exam scores.
