Since low XAT scores are expected to lead to high percentile, experts at VistaMind Education, CL are unanimous that a score of 34-35 marks would lead to around 98-99 percentile.
The expected XAT 2017 cut off for different programmes at XLRI may go from 90 to 96 percentile. It is expected that PGDM (Business Management) at XLRI will have a cut off between 94 to 96 and other PGDM programmes will have XAT cut offs between 90 to 94.

XLRI started the move of publishing the individual OMR and answer sheets for thousands of candidates from 2015. In fact in XAT 2015, the self percentile calculation bore no fruit as their actual percentile score was much less than what they calculated and expected. At that time the candidates were apprehensive of some mismatch in the calculation formula of percentile and raised queries on such discrepancies after XAT 2015 result declaration.
Now with the OMR sheets available on XAT 2017 site the candidates have all the ingredients to assess their performance and scores awarded in the exam. They have the question paper, answer keys and answer sheets. Probably nothing more is needed to arrive at the correct scores. This could be rated as the highest example of transparency in award of scores in any examination.
The XAT 2017 percentile calculation formula is such that it awards only positive percentiles. Accordingly, all students get positive percentiles and there is no possibility of negative percentile in XAT 2017 as per the XAT scoring and percentile calculation process.
