CAT 2016 & XAT 2017 exam Cut offs for admission
Post CAT 2016 and XAT 2017 results declaration, the expected cut offs for 1st stage shortlist at TAPMI may also be understood going by the past trends. Candidates seeking admission in TAPMI, Manipal can be shortlisted for final selection round with score around 85 to 90 percentile in CAT 2016 or XAT 2017.

CAT –XAT scores: 10-15% weight in final merit
Although CAT & XAT scores play very important role in shortlisting process, once a candidate is shortlisted and called for the WAT-PI process – everyone has an equal chance. It is the performance in the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) that makes the key difference.

The weightage to CAT/XAT scores while preparing the final merit list after PI round, according to Prof Gururaj Kidiyoor Director TAPMI “CAT/XAT/GMAT scores carry only 10-15% weight in the overall Merit Score.”

Check! If you are TAPMI ready
The Admissions Committee at TAPMI looks for consistency in the academic track record, relevant work experience, attitude to work in a competitive and collaborative environment and finally leadership potential. All this leads to one fundamental question – how open and willing is the candidate to absorb new influence; in short the candidate with the highest learnability quotient is the most sought after one.

A few changes are proposed in the admission and final selection process for PGDM 2017-19 at TAPMI. According to Prof. Gururaj, “There are some changes being contemplated in the Admissions process. Overall Merit Score is computed on the basis of CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, Academic track record, WAT score, PI score (includes weightage for profile of the candidate) and Work Experience.”

TAPMI’s two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management is designed to push students to go beyond their constraints and redraw their boundaries to achieve excellence in business. Every aspect of a student’s life in the two-year period involves decision-making – with its consequent results.

This rigorous course is based on experiential learning and makes use of the case-study approach to simulate situations which the future managers might face in the real world. The program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the world-renowned Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); and it is recognised by The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree.
