CMAT 2017 score card will consist of following types of scores –

-- Sectional Raw Scores

-- Sectional percentile

-- Overall percentile score

All the positive scorers in CMAT 2017 exam will find place in the CMAT 2017 Result merit list which may contain 58000 to 60000 candidates. All the candidates will also get their CMAT 2017 score card which they need to download from the AICTE-CMAT 2017 website.

Overall raw score
According to AICTE “The results will rank all the candidates who appeared in the test based on their aptitude towards the management education in the order of their merit. Candidates will not be declared as eliminated from the admission process in the AICTE approved management programme. On the contrary the aim is to facilitate the institutions to select the suitable candidates.”

CMAT Result leading to top MBA colleges
Based on the CMAT score card and the place assigned in merit list post CMAT result declaration, there are more than 400 MBA colleges in which you can explore admission opportunity for 2017-19 programme across the country. Besides, same number of MBA colleges exist in Maharashtra who will accept CMAT 2017 score card for admission to their flagship MMS/MBA/PGDM 2017-19 batch.

CMAT 2017 merit List
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will announce the All India Merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in computer based Common Management Admission Test CMAT-2017 conducted online on Jan 28, 2017. A national merit ranking is arrived based on the Total Score. The merit list indicates Roll number, Rank and the Score of all the candidates. CMAT-2017 score is valid for the admissions of academic year 2017-18.

Scoring pattern
The CMAT 2017 scores will be awarded as per the following pattern:

+4 marks for the correct answer

-1 mark for incorrect answer

0 mark for no answer

Order of Merit in case of equal total scores
In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking is done on sectional score considered in the order of:

Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation

 Logical Reasoning

Language Comprehension

General Awareness

If more than one candidate secures same ranking going by the above process, the same Rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically. The Rank of the subsequent candidate will then be extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example if 3 students are at 25th Rank then subsequent student will be ranked as 28th.

CMAT: Expect high percentile with moderate score
At a score of 225, more than 99 percentile could be scored in CMAT 2016. Similarly with the score, as low as 185, candidates could score 85 percentile in CMAT. Same scoring pattern is expected in CMAT 2017.

Top B schools accepting CMAT scores need around 75 to 95 percentile to shortlist the candidates. A glimpse on the past trend may reflect the true picture on CMAT scoring pattern and percentile cut offs

Last year CMAT result was declared in 5 days from the date of conducting the exam. For CMAT 2017, AICTE has tried to keep around 2 weeks of time gap between the date of the CMAT exam which was held on January 28 and the CMAT result date which is proposed to be declared on February 10, 2017.  Apart from this AICTE has tried to play it safe in terms of conducting the CMAT 2017 exam on January 28 and also keeping January 29 as a reserve day in case of any technical glitch calls for re-testing of CMAT.

After CMAT there is no important All India entrance test for admission 2017 to the management institutes. CMAT serves as a good chance for the MBA aspirants who couldn’t fare so well in CAT 2016 and XAT 2017 to find a very good management institute like BIMTECH, GIM Goa, Great Lakes, IFMR, IMT Hyderabad, IMT Nagpur, K J Somaiya, SIMSREE among others.
