K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research hosted its 4th International HR conference on the topic "Building Organizations of Tomorrow: Leadership Challenges of Human Capital in a Digital Workplace"
The event was graced by dignitaries from across the world including Professor Kristen Tardiff from the University of Arkansas, USA and Prof. Lakshman R.Watawala, President of AMDISA

K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research hosted its 4th International HR conference on the topic “Building Organizations of Tomorrow: Leadership Challenges of Human Capital in a Digital Workplace”.

The event was coordinated by Humanist – The HR club of SIMSR. The two day event was scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of February, 2017 in association with California State University, San Bernardino College of Business and Public Administration and Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).

The event was graced by dignitaries from across the world including Professor Kristen Tardiff from the University of Arkansas, USA and  Prof. Lakshman R.Watawala,  President of AMDISA.

The day 1 of the event comprised an enlightening Workshop on Paper presentation by Prof. Tardiff followed by the formal inauguration of the event. This was followed by a Corporate and Consultant Round discussion on the aforementioned topic.

Day 2 comprised of paper presentations by Professors and Students from institutes across India. This was followed by a plenary session. The conference ended with award and certificate distribution followed by a closing speech by the faculties and guests present there. The HR conference was sponsored by BPCL and SAGE Publications.

With a legacy of 57 years as part of Somaiya Vidyavihar  that was established in 1959,  K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) Mumbai came into existence in 1981. Since then SIMSR has been imparting and contributing tremendously in qualitative development of Management Education in India. K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research is popularly referred to as SIMSR and has autonomous status granted by UGC and notified by the University of Mumbai .  The B-school enjoys a high alumni base occupying key corporate positions and high international linkages.
