Business World depends on Analytical skills
Analytical skills are no longer just a requirement for IT professionals; the business world is becoming increasingly complex and information is, now more than ever, at the center of most business challenges.

Business Analytics is a revolution that will likely be comparable in its scale, reach, and productivity impact to the widespread adoption of other General Purpose Technologies (GPT) such as personal computers in the 1980s, electricity in the early 20th century, and steam power during the industrial revolution.

Rising Job Market in Analytics
The analytics jobs market continues to grow in India at an aggressive pace. From Jan 2013 to Jan 2014, the job postings in Analytics have increased at an annual pace of 80% and at an average pace of 6% every month.

Data Analytics and Big Data will continue to dominate market as data generation is growing rapidly and hence data needs to evolve. India’s analytics talent pool is expected to be in high demand owing to their process expertise and proficiency in English language. Currently, the “Big data analytics” is estimated a shortfall of nearly 140,000 to 190,000 deep analytical talent resources as well as 1.5 million data savvy analytical managers in the US alone.

IT Giant IBM & UPES offer MBA Business Analytics
UPES in academic collaboration with the IT Giant IBM will provide MBA Business Analytics, which would enhance the ability to apply modern decision technology and statistical methods to decision-making. The course curriculum is co-developed by UPES and IBM. Students will also be exposed to IBM proprietary technologies, engineers, and data scientists. Since the academic year 2016, UPES and IBM have collaborated on an academic initiative that would provide Business Analytics training to MBA students, helping them develop the skills needed to become future business leaders.
