Many candidates applying for fee refund
According to CET-Cell of Maharashtra “State CET Cell, Mumbai is in receipt of applications from candidates who ‘have reported to Admission Reporting Center (ARC) and paid Seat Acceptance Charges, but not reported to the allotted Institute and not confirmed admission by paying balance fees’ for various Professional Technical Courses, requesting for refund of Seat Acceptance Charges during Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2016-17 process. Admission Regulating Authority has considered requests from such candidates sympathetically and has decided to refund the amount after deducting processing charges and other expenses incurred in refunding this amount.”

Key Points of Fee Refund Process

  • The MBA fee refund process has started on April 6, 2017 and will close after 15 calendar days
  • Only those candidates are eligible for fee refund who did not join the course but deposited the seat acceptance fee after CAP round
  • Rs.1000/- will be deducted as processing fee
  • Refund amount will be paid by cheque
  • Report in person to the same Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) in Maharashtra where Seat Acceptance fee was deposited
  • If DTE could not realize some of the bank drafts of seat acceptance fee in time, it would return the stale draft to the candidates and candidates will have to deposit Rs.1000/- in cash towards processing charges.
