Dr B S Sahay, Director of IMT Ghaziabad, while delivering the Director's speech at IMT Convocation '08 on March 18, 2008, asked students to dream big, and then pursue the dreams with energy.

Said Dr Sahay, "My advice is that you think big and do big. Unless you dream big, you cannot think big, if you cannot think big, you cannot do big tasks".

Talking about the expansion at IMT, Dr Sahay said, "IMT family has grown to three campuses: Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Dubai. I feel happy to inform you that we are moving to our newly constructed state-of-the-art campus in Dubai next month."

Talking about academic achievements, Dr Sahay said, "It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that our PGDM programme has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE and has been awarded equivalence to MBA by the Association of Indian Universities. After getting national accreditation, we are now looking ahead for international accreditations."

Highlighting the growing international relations, Dr Sahay said, "Exchange programmes with leading business schools around the world help students to assimilate management practices and understand the importance of cross-cultural issues in managing the business, trade and industry."

IMT has over 25 collaborations including George Mason University, University of Florida, London Metropolitan University, Reims Management School, Grenoble Ecole de Management and others. Dr Sahay said, "For the academic year 2007-08, IMT had over 60 outgoing and 30 incoming exchange students. A study tour for around 30 students coming to IMT from different universities such as University of UCS (Brazil), Aberystwth University has been planned."

IMT Ghaziabad is going to collaborate with more global institutions. "I feel happy to inform you that many more collaborations are in the final stages with institutions in Asia-Pacific, Europe and USA regions and will be operational soon," said Dr B S Sahay.

Dr Sahay took over as director of IMT Ghaziabad a few years back. Prior to that, he was Dean (Research & Consultancy) and professor of operations management at Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon. He was also an adjunct professor at the School of International Business in Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and the founding chairman of Centre for Supply Chain Management.
