CAT Result Out: Download your Score card now; avoid technical glitches

IIM Lucknow has released the CAT result on January 8, 2018 in the morning on its official CAT website iimcat.ac.in but has refrained from sending the CAT result and CAT score on the registered mobile number of the candidates who appeared in CAT exam on November 26 in slot-1 and slot-2.

Experts have advised that CAT examinees should login immediately to CAT website to download their score card as it is expected that due to heavy rush of visitors CAT official website may develop technical glitches. IIM Lucknow has also suggested on CAT official website ‘Score Card CAT 2017 is now available for download.’ Your CAT score card contains overall scaled score, sectional and overall CAT percentile score alongwith all your personal details

Out of 2.31 lakhs candidates, 199632 candidates appeared in CAT 2017 exam on November 26, 2017. The CAT test takers have been waiting for CAT result declaration to know whether they will be shortlisted by top 5-6 IIMs, or new IIMs or other top MBA/PGDM colleges for admission to 2018-20 batch.

How to download CAT 2017 result
The steps to view and download your  CAT 2017 score card are:

Step-1: Go to the CAT website to login and begin the CAT result 2017 score card download process

Step-2: Login with registered CAT id and password to Download CAT Score Card from CAT official iimcat website

Step-3: You can view and download your CAT score card now. After downloading it, it is suggested to take print of the CAT 2017 score card as it contains your scaled score, sectional percentile and overall percentile scores.

Although total number of CAT applicants this year was less than last year, the number of test takers in CAT 2017 exam is more than last year. Comparative trend is given below:

Despite the fact that CAT 2017 was conducted a few days earlier than last year, the CAT result date has remained in the second week of January 2018. As this was also confirmed by CAT 2017 convener Prof Neeraj Dwivedi, faculty at IIM Lucknow they had no plans to declare CAT 2017 result before January 2018 second week.

CAT Result 2017 will lead to the admission not only in 20 IIMs but also in more than 1000 MBA/PGDM colleges in India for 2018-20 batch,  including some of the top B-schools like FMS Delhi, MBA departments of IITs, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal, JBIMS, K J Somaiya, SIMSREE, PUMBA, IRMA, MICA, Great Lakes, IFMR, GIM Goa, LIBA, XIMB among others.
