Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2018 February exam will be held on February 4, from 10AM to 12.30PM as paper based test and on February 17, 2018 in different time slots as computer based test.

MAT 2018: First time Opportunity to appear both in PBT and CBT

For the first time, AIMA has allowed the MAT test takers to appear in both – paper based and computer based MAT exams with an additional payment of Rs.1000/- towards application fee. The last date to apply is January 26, 2018.

According to AIMA, “Candidate can opt for both the tests i.e. PBT and CBT by paying an extra fees of 1000/- in addition to 1500/-.”  While Rs. 1500/- (Including GST) is the registration and application fee to appear in either Paper based or computer based MAT 2018 February exam, addition Rs.1000/- is the fee to appear in both the exams. MAT 2018 aspirants, if wish to appear in both MAT exams, they should pay Rs.2500/-.

  1. Improve score in 13 days: The paper based MAT 2018 February exam is on February 4 and is 13 days before the computer based test. Since there is no change in the MAT test paper components and difficulty level whether you appear in PBT or CBT, except the fact that the format of both MAT exams is different, it gives you ample opportunity in 10-12 days to prepare with a view to improve your scores.
  2. More MBA colleges accepting MAT

    Four Digit codes for Management Institutes/University Departments accepting the MAT Score are given in the List of Participating Institutes/Universities as MI Code. There are five fields given in the Registration Form for those who are applying for only one MAT exam. Select the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission. No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices. 

    However, the candidates opting for both PBT and CBT will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes. They can select 7 Management Institutes in total.

    It is advisable to check the approval/recognition status of various programs and other details directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities, where you wish to apply.

  4. Moderate difficulty level exam
    MAT is not a difficult exam and the candidates can score high especially when there is opportunity to improve further your score in the same exam. 
  5. Discretion to use either exam score
    You will have the discretion to use your better score in MBA admission 2018.
