University of Delhi ties up with U21Global

Online education revolution is making rapid strides in India. U21Global, the Singapore headquartered online Graduate School, has announced that the University of Delhi has joined the Universitas 21 network.

Delhi University, the largest Indian University, is the first Indian university to be part of U 21 Global network. Some of the other universities that are part of this consortium include National University of Singapore, McGill University and University of Melbourne. 

Established in 1997, Universitas 21 is an international network of leading research-intensive universities that formed U21Global to provide quality online higher education in a global market place. The University of Delhi's participation in the network brings the number of U21Global affiliate universities to 21 members.

Established in 2001, U21Global is the world's premier online Graduate School that offers globally recognised graduate programmes. The graduate school is backed by an international network of 21 leading research-intensive universities in 13 countries. U21Global has successfully enrolled students from 60 countries around the world including those from Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.  

U21Global's affiliated universities include: McGill University, Tecnológico de Monterrey, University of British Columbia, University of Virginia; Lund University; University College Dublin, University of Birmingham,  University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, University of Nottingham; Fudan University, Korea University, National University of Singapore, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Delhi, University of Hong Kong, Waseda University; University of  Auckland., University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, University of Queensland.  

The University of Delhi was established in 1922, and some of its colleges are even older. The University of Delhi is the largest university in India with more than 300,000 students and about 7,000 teachers. There are 78 colleges largely for undergraduate students and 84 departments mostly for postgraduate students, and the colleges, including those that are engaged in professional courses, are spread across the city.
