MAT Application Form Correction: How to avoid mistakes and submit error free; No edit option after submission

You can fill up MAT 2018 Application Form only online as AIMA has discontinued the offline application process. Another important change in MAT is that the MAT May 2018 application form can be filled up both for Paper based as well as computer based test.

The MAT 2018 exam conducting authority, AIMA advises to take following steps to avoid any errors in MAT application process-

• Read the instructions and guidelines before you begin filling up the MAT Application Form.
• You can logout and exit the MAT Application Form any number of times to edit and complete later and Save & Continue each sections till you submit the application.
• Remember, you will not be allowed to continue, if mandatory information is not entered or the required images are not uploaded in the MAT application form.
• After you complete the last section by making payment of MAT application fee, your application for MAT 2018 will be considered complete and you will receive a confirmation mail.
• Post this, changes to any information provided on the application form are not possible. You can only print the completed MAT application form from the website.

4 Steps to avoid Mistakes
The online filling up MAT application form offers you opportunity to avoid mistakes and also go for MAT Application form Correction during the application process. Following 4 key steps will help you to avoid mistakes in filling up MAT application form:

1. Gather required documents and details first

MAT Application form correction is needed if you do not follow the due process of filling up the MAT application form. The best way to avoid mistakes in your personal and academic details, is to keep ready the required documents and details like valid E-mail ID, your style of writing the name, correct date of birth, correct address with Pin code, Academic record from class 10 onwards, Work experience in months, Category certificate, if needed among others.

You will be able to fill up all the details correctly with the help of these documents in MAT application form. You can save the document, in case you wish to complete the MAT application process afterwards.

2. Keep the scanned images ready of required size    

You have to upload digital image of photograph and signature of required size in MAT application form. Please ensure that the images should not be oversized as it will not be uploaded.

The required size for the image of scanned photograph in jpg / jpeg format should not exceed 50 KB. The image of scanned signature in jpg / jpeg format and size should also not exceed 50 KB

3. Don’t forget your Mail ID, password, MAT Registration number

After creation of candidate login, you will receive the MAT registration number. You have to login as registered user each time you login to complete the MAT Application form. In case of any mistake which you want to rectify in MAT form correction can be done only if you able to login successfully. If you Submit the MAT Application Form with wrong details, it will not be changed and a confirmation for the registration will also be sent on your email as entered in the form. Please also note that the Email-ID and Date of birth as filled by you will be used to login to the website in future also.

4. Don’t be in a hurry to make payment

Please note that no refund of MAT application fee will be made once the payment is made. Unless you are fully satisfied about the details and particulars entered by you in the MAT application form, do not make payment as once the payment is made and form is submitted there is no score for Application form correction in MAT.

Before making the payment of the requisite fee of Rs.1550/- or Rs. 2650/- please check whether you have applied for paper based MAT exam or Computer based MAT exam or for both. Please also check that you have valid payment instruments for making online payment for MAT Application fee. AIMA has prescribed that payment of MAT application fee can be made through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking 

Done a Mistake in MAT Application Form! How to make correction?
If you have still made some mistake in the MAT application form and have submitted the form after making payment of application fee, it is unlikely that you could make changes now. However AIMA has provided the facility for MAT application form correction in certain circumstances:

Clarify from AIMA on Mail

In case of any clarification regarding the online registration of MAT, you should send e-mail to 

‘[email protected]’.  AIMA will not consider other forms of communication like telephone calls, conventional mail, fax.

Application Fee deducted, No Registration slip Generated
If the application fee amount is deducted without getting the Registration Slip generated (failed registration), you need to apply again in the online application portal before the last date of online application. You can submit the request for refund of failed registration amount along with details separately. 

Apart from the above, you will not be able to claim any fee refund in case of mistake in MAT application form.

You can still send the mail to AIMA for getting the necessary corrections made in the MAT application form, although it depends on the discretion of exam conducting authority whether the correction can be made.  

MAT May 2018 paper based test will be held on May 6 while the computer based MAT will be held from May 20, 2018 onwards in different time slots. There are more than 300 MBA colleges who will accept May MAT 2018 exam scores. To know about the MBA colleges accepting MAT score click here

MAT 2018 May exam scores will remain valid for one year. This implies that candidates will be able to apply for next year MBA/PGDM programmes also on the basis of their May MAT 2018 exam scores. Candidates exploring admission in MBA/PGDM 2018-20 batch can encash the opportunity to do MBA by registering and completing the MAT May 2018 Application Form by April 27.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level entrance test for admission to MBA/PGDM colleges where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). There are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.
