NMIMS Mumbai and TAPMI Manipal emerged as Gold Winners of IMC Awards 2018 at the 9th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2018. IIM Indore and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai won the Silver Awards. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were presented for two themes were presented by Kamal Bali, MD, Volvo India and Dr Sourav Mukherji, Professor & Chairperson, Centre for Teaching and Learning, IIM Bangalore.

NMIMS Mumbai and TAPMI Manipal emerged as Gold Winners of IMC Awards 2018 at the 9th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2018. IIM Indore and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai won the Silver Awards. VESIM Mumbai and PSG Institute of Management Coimbatore won the Bronze. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were presented for two themes by Kamal Bali, MD, Volvo India and Dr Sourav Mukherji, Professor & Chairperson, Centre for Teaching and Learning, IIM Bangalore.

Set up in 2013, Indian Management Conclave (IMC) Awards are today recognized as India’s most prestigious Management Education Awards. More than 40 B-schools participated by submitting their nominations. Top 10 Finalists, selected by the Jury, made presentations on their initiatives on August 3-4 at IMC 2018. The best initiatives in each category were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards at IMC Valedictory Session on August 4.

IMC Awards 2018 were conferred to the B-schools that are taking the most useful initiatives for making their MBA more relevant to students and the corporate sector. The jury, comprising Dr KRS Murthy, Former Director, IIM Bangalore and Professor Sourav Mukherji, Chair, Centre for Teaching and Learning, IIM Bangalore, selected the best initiatives from more than 40 B-schools for presentation of IMC awards for this year. Selected finalists presented their initiatives at the conference for the benefit of 200 participating B-schools.

IMC Award Themes, Finalists & Winners

The IMC Awards 2018 were conferred on the two themes: ‘Experiential Learning for meeting Program Learning Goals’ and ‘Pedagogy for Developing Job Competencies in MBAs.’

The award theme ‘Experiential Learning for meeting Program Learning Goals’ saw the five finalists namely - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore; NMIMS University Mumbai; IFIM Business School Bangalore; Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore and PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore.

While Bronze went to the PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, Silver was awarded to IIM Indore and Gold went to NMIMS Mumbai. 

The finalists for second theme ‘Pedagogy for Developing Job Competencies in MBAs’ included Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai; IFIM Business School Bangalore; RV Institute of Management, Bangalore; TAPMI Manipal and Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research (VESIM), Mumbai.

In this category Bronze went to Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research (VESIM), Mumbai; Silver to Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai and Gold to TAPMI Manipal.

With distribution of IMC Awards 2018 at the valedictory session of 9th Edition of the Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2018, India’s biggest management conclave organised by MBAUniverse.com and hosted by IIM Bangalore, concluded on August 4, 2018.

The 2 days of IMC 2018 on Aug 3 and 4 witnessed sessions, discussions, Directors’ Round Table on issues and vision on future MBA education, addresses by AICTE Chairman, Policy makers, Deans and Directors of IIMs, ISB, PGDM B-schools, CXOs and business leaders from Corporate, sharing the policy guidelines, success stories, changing business scenario calling for changes in the B-school pedagogy to make the students more industry ready.
