IIT Bombay to offer workshop on establishing and operating a Business Incubator

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) is holding a workshop on 'Establishing and Operating a Business Incubator' at its campus from June 9-12, 2008.

According to the information shared by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) with MBAUniverse.com, the three and a half day workshop is designed by IIT-B and Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), which will benefit individuals or institutes who are in the process of setting up a business incubator and wish to learn the mechanics of its smooth operation. 

The workshop will be led by Prof. D B Phatak, Chair Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay, Prof Amarnath, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay and Dr Rajendra K Lagu, Computational Research Laboratories, Pune. 

The workshop will also have the discussion among leading experts in the field and sharing of experiences by past and present companies of the IIT Bombay incubator and SINE.

The workshop will be open to selected candidates. The last date for receipt of application is June 2, 2008. 

SINE, Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, hosted by  IIT Bombay, is an umbrella for promotion of entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay. SINE administers a business incubator which provides support for technology based entrepreneurship.
