Chennai based SMOT B-School has announced PGPM, management consulting degree in Finance, Marketing, IT and HR.

The programme is offered in collaboration with the worlds largest professional consulting body, Canadian Association of Management Consulting (CAMC).  According to information shared by SMOT with MBAUniverse.com, under the collaborative initiative 3 faculties from CAMC and SMU will visit SMOT this fall to offer 108 hours of class in various most current topics in management. 

The SMOT campus at Chennai has 50 students currently enrolled with the PGPM program and the strength of the faculty is 25. SMOT Campus in Hyderabad is moving towards completion and it hopes to start the school shortly. 

Making the announcement Dr. Narasimhan, Director of SMOT said, "Consulting as specialization in MBA is a unique feature in SMOT, currently not offered as a career track option in any business school in India."  

Dr. Narasimhan said SMOT has plans to send all its students to Canada to undergo full training in consulting module, thus giving them an edge over others in MBA.

The delegation will also have an interaction with industry leaders while in Toronto to exchange views on opportunities that their respective countries offer for increasing economic value of trade.  

SMOT has announced admissions for its PGPM 16-month course, a regular course starting in Sep 2008. The admissions are open to Graduate students and for candidates managing their family business. SMOT has initiated a nation-wide entrance test and the interview for admission is scheduled on July 5, 2008.
