Asia Graduate School of Business announces admissions for its PG Programmes

Hyderabad based Asia Graduate School of Business (AGSB), part of ITM Group of Institutions, has announced admission for its two Post Graduate Programmes for the batch of 2008-10.

The programmes are: one year Post Graduate program in Management (PGPM) and two years Post Graduate Program in Asian Management (PGPAM). According to AGSB, AGSB's Post Graduate Programmes will be certified by AGSB, USA based Fisher School of Business (FCOB) and China based Tianjin Polytechnic University (TJPU).  

Both of the programmes will commence from August 2008.

According to AGSB, PGPM is a one year full time programme for senior managers with work experience and is developed in association with Fisher College of Business, (FCOB) Ohio State University, Columbus, USA and Tianjin Polytechnic University (TJPU), China. The highlight of PGPM is that it has 9 week Summer School in China PRC arranged by TJPU as well as a module on China to be taught by Chinese Professors in Hyderabad.  

PGPAM is a two year full time program which is offered jointly by AGSB and TJPU. During PGPAM, students spend first academic year in India, and the second academic year in China. Similarly the Chinese students spend the first academic year in China and the second academic year in India.  

AGSB is set to offer international management education. According to AGSB, "Staring programmes later this year, an international mix of students from across the continent will be admitted to the programs. Teaching resources are being drawn from eminent faculties from Asia's leading institutions. In addition, we have affiliations to bring in faculties from universities in the US, Europe and China that will bring a western and eastern hemisphere perspective to the program".

For PGPM, senior managers with three years experience or equivalent PG and professional qualifications with experience are eligible and for PGPAM, fresh graduates can apply. The last date of application of PGPM and PGPAM is July 15, 2008.

AGSB was recently established in January 2008 in Hyderabad. The institute has established academic linkages with leading Business Schools of the east and west to give a western and eastern business perspective to the programme. To achieve the Asia focus, the school has developed a programme in association with Tainjin Polytechnic University, Tainjia, China PRC (TJPU) wherein there is a student exchange programme.

The ITM Group of Business Schools has grown from one Business School in Mumbai, to 7 campuses by the year 2004. Starting with a 2 year fulltime Masters program in 1991, The ITM Group of Business Schools is currently conducting 15 programs, in a broad range of fields including Financial Markets, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Risk Management, Human Resources etc.
