Infosys CEO Nandan Nilekani to preside over MDI’s convocation

The Gurgaon-based Management Development Institute (MDI) will be holding its convocation on 6 March on its campus. Respected industry leader and Infosys CEO Mr Nandan Nilekani will be presiding over the convocation.

As MDI’s Class of 2007 gets ready to enter the corporate world, Mr Nilekani will offer valuable advice that will stand the batch in good stead.

Nandan Nilekani was appointed chief executive officer of Infosys in March 2002. Prior to assuming his current position, he held the post of managing director, president and chief operating officer (COO) in the company. He is one of the co-founders of Infosys and has served as a director on the company’s board since its inception in 1981. Mr Nilekani is the recipient of several awards including the IIT Bombay’s ‘Distinguished Alumnus’ award in 1999. In addition, he, along with Infosys chairman Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, was adjudged Fortune magazine’s ‘Asia’s Businessmen of the Year 2003’.

Established in 1973, MDI offers a postgraduate program in management, a national management program, an executive management program, a postgraduate program in human resource management and a postgraduate program in international management.
