Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today launched the Ignite Boot Camp in India in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL), part of Judge Business School (JBS), University of Cambridge.

The Ignite Boot Camp, being delivered by Cambridge faculty, successful serial entrepreneurs and Indian innovators is a unique workshop. It brings in the experience of Cambridge's journey to becoming Europe's top technology cluster from being a small English town. It also brings in the experience of the Judge Business School in enabling Ignite participants to turning their ideas into successful commercial enterprises.

The Ignite Boot Camp in India will address the increasing necessity for enterprises to think differently and come out with radically different solutions, those that have never been thought before. The workshop will encourage organisations to develop a mindset to innovate and have incubators developing new products, constantly working to achieve new horizons.

CII believes that this one-day workshop will help open the minds of Indian entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs encouraging them to commercialise many more ideas. India's eco system offers all elements that go to make innovation a success. What is required is the competence to access and leverage this eco system. The Ignite Boot Camp will skill Indian managers with just this competence.

Speaking about the workshop, which was attended by a group of young innovators from corporates as well as individuals, Mr. Jamshyd Godrej, Past President CII and Chairman, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. Ltd. said; "It has been CII's endeavor to encourage innovation and spread the spirit of enterprise in the country. The Ignite programme is aimed at encouraging youngsters to think like entrepreneurs and leverage the resources available in the eco system. We are happy to collaborate with the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge to bring this very significant programme to India."

Reciprocating the sentiments expressed by Mr. Godrej, Professor Arnoud De Meyer, Director Judge Business School, commented; "Judge Business School is keen to collaborate with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and we are confident that the specialised learning based on our highly successful Ignite programme can help invigorate entrepreneurship in the region. We hope that Indian industry will see the benefit of working in partnership with Cambridge."

Dr Shailendra Vyakarnam, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at Judge Business School said "I am very pleased to have forged this positive relationship with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The Centre is justifiably proud of the legacy and impact of our Ignite programme, leveraging the knowhow and networks available in the Cambridge ecosystem to accelerate start-ups and company innovations."
