E-Cell of IIT Bombay, with MBAUniverse.com as an Online Partner, is organizing The Entrepreneurship Summit on February 7 at IIT Bombay campus. Several noted entrepreneurs, CEOs and VCs including Mr. Kanwal Rekhi, MD, Inventus capital; Mr. Ganesh K, Founder, TutorVista; Mr. Ashok Wadhwa, MD & CEO, Ambit PE, and Mr. Anand Lunia, Executive Director and CFO, Seedfund Competitive Intelligence will address the summit.
This year, the Summit aims at Empowering Entrepreneurs by looking into major issues faced by them, inspiring them through the stories of the successful ventures and supporting them through different activities in the day.
Says IIT Bombay, "E-Summit is a social forum for the Entrepreneurial Community, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and academicians on a common platform to interact and help build successful enterprises."
There will be several panel discussion held. On the topic of 'Journey of an entrepreneur', panelists will include Mr. Vinnie Vyas, CEO, Crossover Advisors; Mr. Kanwal Rekhi, MD, Inventus capital; Mr. Mohan Verma, ED, PwC. On the topic of 'Common Pitfalls while Starting up', panelist include Mr. Kiruba Shankar (Moderator), CEO, Business Blogging and Co-Founder, Proto.in, Mr. Alok Kejriwal, Founder & CEO, Contests2Win.com, Mr. Jayprakash Gupta, Founder & MD, The Loot Store, Mr. Russell Stamets, Director, JCSS Consultants, Mr. Devdutt Yellurkar, Venture Partner, Charles River Ventures.
On the topic of 'Sustaining a startup', Mr. Sanjay Anandaram (Moderator), Founder, JumpStart Ventures, Mr. Ganesh K, Founder, TutorVista, Dr. Jasmin Patel, MD, Fidelity, Mr. Gaurang Shah, Founder & CEO, DSN, Mr. Satya Prabhakar, Founder & CEO, Sulekha will share their opinions. And on the topic of 'Enterprise: A definite answer to the emerging needs of the country ' experts including Mr. Terence Hart, CEO IT Power India Ltd, Mr. Ashok Wadhwa, MD & CEO, Ambit PE, Mr. Rajeev Mantri, Executive Director, Navam Capital, Ms. Anjali Bansal, MD, Spencer Stuart will speak.
This will be followed by several Interactive Sessions. 'Innovation and Idea Validation' will be lead by Mr. David Wittenberg, CEO (Asia/Middle East), and 'The Innovation Workgroup Leadership and Team Building' will be led by 'Mr. Lawerance Norwood, Senior Consultant, CW Solutions'. Ad guru Mr. Alyque Padamsee, will lead an interactive session on Advertising and marketing. Mr. Anand Lunia, Executive Director and CFO, Seedfund will conduct and interactive session on Aspects of Funding. Mr. R. Balki, Chairman and CEO, Lowe Lintas India will talk on 'Competitive Intelligence'.
There also a special tete-a-tete planned with actor and social activist Rahul Bose.
