Official spokespersons of IIM L and Placement Team member of IIM K shared this information with MBAUniverse.com.
Prof Sushil Kumar, Placement Chairperson at IIM L said, “IIM L is holding the Final Placement Week ‘09 from March 2 – 13, 2009.”
Is IIM L also adopting ‘rolling placements’ like other IIMs and top non-IIMs B-school? Prof Kumar said, “No, IIM L is not having ‘rolling placements’. The placement process will go on as scheduled.”
Prof Kumar said that placement season is slow to take off this year. While refusing to share information about the company participation and salary packages at IIM L, Prof Kumar said, “Certainly this year the placement scene is not as good as last year.” Last year, a total of 554 offers were made to 256 students at IIM L.
According to Placement Officer Secretary at IIM K Placement Office, “IIM K has started the Final Placement Process on March 2, 2009. The Placement Process will be end by second week of March.”
IIM K refused to share more information on placements at this stage. There were 105 premier recruiters participated at Final Placements 2008 at IIM K. 178 students were successful in bagging no less than 402 jobs during placements season 2008.
