How do India’s Top 4 institutes TIME, PT Education, Career Launcher, IMS Learning – compare? The ranking offers a clear picture for MBA aspirants.

Before we look at the head-to-head comparison amongst top 4 Institutes, a recap of five critical parameters on which the ranking is based on: 1) Quality of students admitted 2) Quality of faculty imparting training to students 3) Academic inputs available in these institutes, 4) Physical infrastructure and 5) MBA results of students. Over 400 students from India's top B-Schools comprising IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, XLRI Jamshedpur, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Management Development Institute Gurgaon, Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management - IIT Mumbai, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, Department of Management Studies - IIT Delhi, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research Mumbai, International Management Institute New Delhi have participated in India’s first MBA Test-Prep Institutes Ranking 09.

Now, lets look at how each of the institutes perform on these five parameters:

Quality of Students

When it comes to admitting quality students, CL tops the list with an average score of 111, followed by T.I.M.E securing second spot with 106 score. PT Education, with an average score of 99 is almost at par with market average, while IMS having an average score of 85. To sum up, CL admits the best students while IMS is perceived to be weaker on this parameter.

Quality of Faculty

Only PT Education with an average score of 119 seems in a better position as far as quality of faculty is concerned. While T.I.M.E and IMS with an average score of 94 each share second position followed by CL at fourth position with score of 92. In a nutshell, PT Education can boast of having good quality of faculty while other three major brands T.I.M.E, IMS and CL need to improve on this front.

Academic Inputs

The data suggest that T.I.M.E with an average score of 107 has better academic inputs when compared to other three top brands. IMS occupies second place with an average score of 102 points followed by CL at third place with score of 97. PT Education has managed to register an average score of 94 and placed at fourth position. A concise overview suggests that T.I.M.E outscores other three top brands while PT Education needs improvement on this front.

Physical Infrastructure

As far as physical infrastructure is concerned, T.I.M.E tops the list with an average score of 108 while CL is placed at second spot with score of 103. IMS is below the standard average of 100 with score of 99 securing third position followed by PT Education at fourth position with an average score of 90.

MBA Results

When it comes to the results and success of MBA students trained by these top four institutes, IMS tops the list with an average score of 110 and T.I.M.E and CL share second position with 103 each. PT Education is below average mark with score of 83 securing fourth position.

After observing all these top institutes being analyzed critically on five different parameters, the strengths and weaknesses of all these institutes come to the front. The critical analysis will help MBA aspirants to think over each of the parameters separately while selecting Test-Prep Institutes.
