Duke University offers Cross Continent MBA program through 6 international locations

The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, USA, organized an Information Session in New Delhi on March 14, 2009, to announce the launch of its Cross Continent MBA Program.

Commenting on the objective behind the launch of Duke MBA - Cross Continent, Mr Vinoo Urs, South Asia Regional Director, says, “The program is designed to help working professionals earn a world-class MBA and at the same time build a culturally diverse peer network across the globe as you live and work anywhere you choose while studying in the most important economic regions in the world. The university will run the program through six international locations like London, New Delhi, Dubai, St. Petersburg, Shanghai and Durham.”
 
The classes for the 16-month Cross Continent MBA program will be starting in August 2009 and applications will be invited for the same in the month of May. The university is going to offer 280 seats for the program. Students with at least 65% score in GMAT and 2-3 years of minimum experience will be eligible to apply for the program. The fee for the 16-month MBA program is US $1,15,000.
 
Over six terms during the program, students will complete 12 core courses that will cover all functional areas of business: Finance, Accounting, General Management, Decision Sciences, Marketing, Operations, Economics, Leadership and Strategy, and four other elective courses.
 
While giving further information on the MBA program, Regional Director says, “As a Cross Continent student, you will attend eight weeks of residential sessions throughout the program. The program will begin with a two-week residency of electives at our Durham campus. The residency period will be followed by seven-to-ten weeks of distance education that involves collaborative learning on a globally dispersed team. After that, you will travel in cohorts through Duke’s Global Campus network for residences in India, Dubai, Russia and China.”
