NMIMS launches PGDBM in Insurance & Sales, assures placement with Max New York Life

To meet the growing demands of skilled professionals in the insurance sector, School of Commerce of NMIMS University, Mumbai, has launched a one-year PG Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) with specialization in Insurance and Sales.

The graduating students of the course meeting minimum criteria will be offered placements opportunities with Max New York Life. Application for the admissions to 2009-10 batch can be submitted till March 28, 2009. The first batch of 60 students will commence from June 09, 2009, at Mumbai.
 
The program offers professional training in specialized subjects such as insurance sales practices and management, insurance products, legal and regulatory aspects of life insurance and will also cover the fields of general and marketing management.
 
Speaking about this unique program, Dr. Saxena, Officiating VC of NMIMS, said, “As a leading University, we design courses to cater to the ever increasing learning and development needs of the industry. The course is designed to provide students a thorough understanding of the specialized functions of insurance management and to enable them to take on challenges from the very first day at work.”
 
“The course curriculum has been developed in such a manner as to bring in the insurance industry perspective in a classroom environment by incorporating both the industry as well as the academic perspective. The duration of the executive program is one academic year,” said Dr. Saxena.
