Convocation 09: IIM I grads to get business mantras from TCS chief S Ramadorai

To give its students parting wisdom into the ever-changing domain of business and management, IIM Indore has invited Mr. S Ramadorai, CEO of Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), to address the 10th annual convocation to be held on March 30, 2009.

Well respected business leader Mr. Ramadorai has more than 30 years of professional experience behind him. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Delhi University. After that he went on to pursue Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and a Master Degree in Computer Science from the University of California. In 1993, Ramadorai attended the Senior Executive Development Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management. 

Mr. Ramadorai began his career as a junior engineer with TCS. Mr. Ramadorai rose through the ranks and eventually was charged with setting up TCS’ operations in the United States in 1979. Now, it has over 40 offices throughout the country. Since taking on the role of CEO, Mr. Ramadorai has focused his efforts on building relationships with large corporations and academic institutions, planning and directing technology development and acquisitions and overseeing the company’s research and development activities.  

Students at IIM Indore are looking forward to hear and take important lessons from the chief guest’s address on the occasion.
