This MBA institute believes in the ‘Learning by Doing’ to foster leadership.

AICAR Business School, situated in the picturesque foothills of Matheran (Maharashtra), 90 km away from Mumbai, is getting ready for the new academic session. Currently, this MBA institute offers full time PGDM courses with specializations in Communication, Marketing, Financial Services and Human Resources. In near future, it will offer specialized programmes in domains like Banking, Finance, Insurance, Aviation-management and International Business. The MBA institute says it offers a unique combination of theory and practice in management sphere.  

Mr. Ajay Oberoi, Director General and Trustee AICAR Business School, said, “Currently we offer full time PGDM courses with specializations in Communication, Marketing, Financial Services and Human Resources. We have applied to AICTE for industry segment specific courses. Once approved, we will introduce PGDM (BFI); PGDM (IB) and PGDM (Aviation).”

The admission process of AICAR Business School is open for the current academic batch 2009-11 in the AICTE approved two year PGDM. The admission will be on the basis of written exam in AICAR or scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, SET and ATMA. Group Discussion and Personal Interview followed by a presentation or a case study on a given topic. Weightage will also be given to previous academic performance and work experience. Final selection is based on the aggregate scores in the various parts (elements) of the admissions/selection process.

When asked how AICAR is different from other MBA institutes, Mr. Oberoi said that it believes in teaching beyond the classes. The students have live projects and simulation models. “AICAR has a combination of academicians and practitioners that has resulted in breakthrough ideas in syllabus and teaching methods,” said Mr. Oberoi. The pedagogy of the AICAR Business School involves project with industries, management applications in community development, consultancy and management development project, group works in areas such as corporate relations, cultural events, academics, placement services etc. The MBA institute delves into providing a strong grasp of management fundamentals, analytical abilities and presentation skills. It also encourages students to inquire how and why things happen. Said Mr. Oberoi, “Management is much more than mere book knowledge, assimilation and analysis. It is about application. It is ultimately about making things happen.”
