IIM-A to award diplomas and titles to 324 students

Ahmedabad based Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) is going to bid farewell to its outgoing graduates on 42nd Convocation scheduled on March 31, 2007.

This year a total of 324 students from Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), Post-Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM) and Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) have successfully completed their programme at this prestigious institute. Three students of PGP and one from PGPX will also receive Institute’s gold medal for scholastic performance.

According to information shared with MBAUniverse.com, Dr. Vijaypat Singhania, Chairman emeritus of Raymond Limited and the newly elected Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Institute, will deliver the welcome address while Dr. Bakul H. Dholakia, Director of the Institute, will deliver the concluding address at the occasion. Honorable Finance Minister of India, Mr P Chidambaram will be the chief guest and will deliver his convocation speech.

Of the total 324 students, a total of 235 students are passing out of the PGP, 22 students from PGP-ABM and 60 students from PGPX. This year a total of 7 FMP students have successfully completed the programme and will be awarded the title of Fellow of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Majority of the thesis are in the HR and Organizational Behaviour area. There is a thesis each in marketing and finance area.
