SEBI Chairman M Damodaran to preside over Convocation at FORE School of Management

Mr M Damodaran, Chairman, Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI), will preside over the Convocation of New Delhi based, Foundation for Organizational Research and Education (FORE) School of Management on April 23.

Mr Ashok Verma, President Fore and Dr Seema Sahnghi Director of FSM will also address the convocation. The event will be held at the institute’s Adhyatam Kendra where outgoing students will receive their scholastic awards and medals in full time and part time Postgraduate diploma in business management (PGDBM) by the chief guest and award of diplomas by President FORE.

Mr M Damodaran is the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) (SEBI), the country's financial market watchdog. Before his current role he headed IDBI Bank for a short stint. Mr M Damodaran was also the Chairman of Unit Trust of India where he was instrumental in turning around the beleaguered Unit Trust of India, which was split into two organisations after the 2001 muddle in the country's biggest mutual fund.

He belongs to the IAS service, Manipur-Tripura cadre. He has also served as the Joint Secretary (Banking Division), Ministry of Finance for five years.

Established in 1981 Foundation for Organizational Research and Education (FORE) is a center of excellence in Management Education, Research, Training and Consultancy. It offers two year full time PGDBM and three year part time PGDBM programmes.
