Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) has released its admission list today afternoon for its flagship Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) for 2007-09 batch.

Speaking with MBAUniverse.com Prof Ashish K Bhattacharya, Chairman, Admissions at IIM-C confirmed this development. Said Prof Bhattacharya, “We have announced our admission list at 3 PM today.”

Thousands of IIM aspirants will finally get to know whether they have made it to their dream management institute. Said Prof Bhattacharya, “Through our site students will know whether they have been provided admission or not. All the selected students will get their offer letter on Monday.”

According to IIM C, the institute has decided to admit 300 students for the session 2007-09. Says Prof Bhattacharya, “Out of batch of 2007-09 will be of 300 students, of which 45 students are from SC and 22 from ST category.”

Commenting on the process of admission for candidates who have been selected by IIM-C, Dr Bhattacharya said, “May 14 is the last date for submission of fees, which is Rs 50000.”

He also clarified that admission delay will not affect students study. Said Prof Bhattacharya, “Delay in admission list have no effect on timeline of IIM C programme, as session will commence on time. It will begin from 25th June”

The list was released after the ‘official communication’ from government was received by IIM-C today. As part of this current list, there may be another list of OBC students if the Supreme Court gives the go-ahead for OBC quotas after the hearing on May 8.
