With the start of a new exam season, the MBA institutes are also announcing their admission for the upcoming batch of 2011-12. S P Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJIMR) Mumbai has announced the Admission Notification for the 2011-13 batch on September 1, 2010.

MBA Programs
SPJIMR is offering admission for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), a two year duration program with four specializations, Marketing, Finance, Information Management and Manufacturing & Operations Management.  “180 seats are offered for each year of our PGDM program. The seats are divided among the four specializations,” says the Admission authority of SPJIMR.

Selection Procedure
A candidate should appear for CAT 2010, XAT 2011 or have a valid GMAT score taken in 2010 to qualify for the admission. “A candidate should score a minimum of 85 percentile in each section of CAT 2010 or XAT 2011 to be considered for admission,” says the Admission Official of SPJIMR.

The candidates will be shortlisted for interviews taking into account their overall profile, academic record, relevance of work experience and exam scores. According to SPJIMR, there will be two rounds of interviews. “The first round is an elimination round. Candidates who clear the first round will appear for the second round.  Both the rounds will be held on the same day,” mentions the SPJIMR Admission Committee official.

Application Process
The application for SPJIMR has to be made online. The application fee is Rs. 1200.

Important Dates
The important dates for the SPJIMR admission are as follows:

Opening of online application form – September 1.
Closing of online application form – November 30.
Shortlisting of candidates – January 2011.
Interview process – January to March 2011.
Final Results – April 2011.
