Symbiosis’ SNAP to be held on December 16

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), entrance test for admission into any postgraduate programme at Symbiosis Group of Institutions, is going to be held on December 16, 2007.

SNAP is the common written test, accepted by Symbiosis post-graduate institutes. The participating institute in SNAP include Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM); Symbiosis Center for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD); Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS); Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM); Symbiosis Institute Of Operations Management (SIOM); Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) and Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC). While the entrance test is common, each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.

SNAP Test will be conducted in 23 cities. The pattern of the test is based on Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency; Logical Reasoning & Analytical Reasoning; General Awareness and General English. Overall, students have to solve about 160 questions in SNAP. Graduates with minimum 50% marks from any University or Institution recognized by AICTE are eligible for SNAP.

Last Year, the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section was found more difficult than other sections. Career Forum, a leading test – preparatory institute had analyzed SNAP and commented, “In 2006, The Analytical and Logical Reasoning section was relatively difficult than all other sections. The questions could have been selected by the right judgment followed by the right choice of questions were time consuming.”
