Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has announced the date of the written entrance exam for the admission in IIFT Delhi and Kolkata for the academic year 2012-14. The date of the IIFT 2011 exam is Sunday, November 27, 2011.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has announced the date of the written entrance exam for the admission in IIFT Delhi and Kolkata for the academic year 2012-14. The date of the IIFT 2011 exam is Sunday, November 27, 2011. The duration of the test is two hours, which will be held from 10 am to 12 noon. The candidates who would be qualified after the written test will be called for Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. The test will be held in 20 cities across India.

Eligibility

The candidates should have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline. Candidates appearing for a qualifying exam can also apply provided they can submit the proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2012.

Important Dates

The last date for the dale of prospectus by post is Monday, August 22, 2011.

The last date for sale of Prospectus across the IIFT counter is Monday, September 5, 2011.

The last date for the receipt of the completed application is Monday, September 5, 2011.

The announcement of the IIFT entrance exam was done on Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the leading national dailies. IIFT entrance exam is the first MBA entrance exams of the seasons to be announced. It can be expected that the other major MBA entrance exams, which the MBA aspirants are longing to know about will be announced soon.

Last year, IIFT 2010 entrance exam took place on Sunday, November 28, 2010. This year too, the date of the exam is on the same line, fourth Sunday of November. The exam will be conducted in the paper pencil based format. IIFT 2010 was held in 20 cities, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam. The Essay Writing, GD and PI will take place in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

The paper pattern

IIFT entrance exam has four sections, Quantitative Analysis, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. IIFT 2010 had 135 questions, which was more compared to the IIFT 2009 exam, which had 122 questions. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate.
