The program, one of the first initiatives by an Indian B-school in the highly competitive North American market, is being held in India between 20 and 27 August and in the US between 17 and 24 September. The current batch of participants includes CEOs, Directors, and Chiefs of Functional Areas representing large organizations.

The program brings together, for the first time, two leading business schools from India and the US in a partnership to offer a world-class program. “The program combines IIM-A’s understanding of the socio-economic reality of the fast-growing Asian region and its strength in the case method of teaching with the thought leadership of Duke with its insights into the developed markets,” says IIM-A.

“The Global Leaders Program represents a powerful developmental experience for senior managers and entrepreneurs,” said Prof. Deepti Bhatnagar, Coordinator for Module-I of the program at IIMA. “Exposure to inputs and insights from two leading schools of management on different sides of the world allows participants a deeper understanding of how to grow, innovate, and lead in a multinational, multicultural environment.”

The first module of the program (August 20-27) is being held at IIM-A, with participants residing in the International Management Development Centre located on in IIM-A’s new campus.

“IIM-A and Duke have created a truly unique executive education opportunity,” said Raymond Smith, Associate Dean for Executive Education, Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. “Business leaders hoping to succeed on a multinational level must learn to strategize and implement in the new world economy. ‘Global’ describes not only the program itself, but also the leaders who participate.”
