Tuesday, October 4, 2011 is the day when the registration window of CAT 2011 will witness the curtains down

Tuesday, October 4, 2011 is the day when the registration window of CAT 2011 will witness the curtains down. This is the reminder for all those who might have not yet registered for this big exam, courtesy the festive season. The Voucher sale has already ended on October 1, 2011.
There is now almost no scope of any further extension in the registration window, so hurry up and register now, if you have the Voucher with you. The registration window will remain open till midnight today.

CAT 2011 exam will take place in a 20 day window starting from Saturday, October 22, 2011 till Wednesday, November 18, 2011.

The deadline for registering for the other major MBA entrance exams of 2011 is also near. The registration for the IRMA entrance exam 2011 will be over on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. IRMA had extended the registration deadline for five days. The IRMA entrance exam will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011.

Also, the registration process of NMAT 2012 is going on at present and the deadline for the first phase of registration is Monday, October 10, 2011. NMIMS will open another phase of registration from Tuesday, October 11, 2011 for those who fail to register in first phase. But it is suggested that you complete your NMAT 2012 registration in the first phase itself as it will give you more convenience in choosing your preferred test schedule as well as you won’t have to pay the late registration fee.
Mr. Soumitra Roy, MD, Prometric India, talking to MBAUniverse.com, said that the late registrants need not get too nervous on scheduling their CAT exam day, in view of the recent reports that 2/3rd of the test taking slots are already booked.

When asked about how Prometric is planning to accommodate such candidates Mr. Roy said, “We have planned enough capacity to cater for candidates who would register up to the end of the registration window. Needless to say that Prometric has built in the flexibility of adding testing seats where necessary during the registration window. We will continue to monitor and adjust capacity but this will become difficult as we approach the end of the registration window.”

Advising the students to take steps faster with regards to registration Mr. Roy said, “Now, even though the registration window has been extended, we would still maintain that it’s advisable for the candidates to register as early on as possible. We would like to advise the candidates to complete their registration as early as possible and check their information carefully to ensure that there are no errors in their application details.”
