The University of Texas at Dallas has announced the naming of its School of Management to Naveen Jindal School of Management (NJSM) to honour its distinguished alumnus Naveen Jindal.
Naveen Jindal did his MBA in 1992 from UT Dallas. According to US News & World Report, NJSM’s full time MBA is ranked 40th and 17th among public university programes in the USA.
“The University of Texas at Dallas is proud to celebrate the naming of the Naveen Jindal School of Management, and to express the appreciation of its students and faculty for support aimed at enhancing the excellence of one of the premier B schools in the US,” mentions the announcement by UT Dallas.
“Through Mr. Jindal’s generosity, the Naveen Jindal School of Management will continue to build on widening recognition of its excellence,” further states the announcement.
Mr. Naveen Jindal is currently a Member of Parliament of India. Mr. Jindal is also the Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University. The Jindal Global Business School is part of the University.
Mr Jindal has been recently featured among the top ten of India Inc’s Most Powerful CEOs 2011 by a survey conducted by the Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) for Economic Times-Corporate Dossier.
Mr Jindal has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2010 by the University of Texas, Dallas for his contribution to public service, being a responsible corporate citizen and guiding his company to become a global player
Mr. Jindal is the Executive Vice Chairman & Managing Director of JSPL, which is one of the most efficiently run steel company in the world. Mr. Jindal is also the Chairman of Jindal Power Limited.
