If you have missed the chance to take this year’s CAT, IIFT entrance exams, you should not worry much as there are still few MBA entrance exams left to which you can apply in order to have the chance to get through the reputed B schools of India.
The MBA entrance exams for which you can still apply are NMAT 2012, XAT 2012 and SNAP 2011. These exams open the door to country’s leading B schools like XLRI, XIMB, NMIMS, Symbiosis and many other leading B schools.
Let us have a look at the important dates and details of these exams.
NMAT 2012
NMAT 2012 has started the second phase of the registration from Tuesday, October 11, 2011. The last and final date for registering to NMAT 2012 is Wednesday, October 20, 2011. Hence, the NMIMS aspirants who have yet not applied for NMAT, it is high time for you to do the needful. The late registration charge for Full Time MBA programs in Mumbai campus or PGDM program is Rs. 2150. The late fee for applying to both these programs is Rs. 2500.
To apply for NMAT 2012, you have to visit the NMIMS website and fill up the online application form. The NMAT 2012 is a computer based exam will be held over a window of about three months starting from Monday, October 31, 2011 till Friday, January 6, 2012. A candidate is entitled to take the test thrice. But for each retest, you have to register yourself separately.
XAT 2012
The last date to apply for XAT 2012, the entrance exam conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur is Wednesday, November 30, 2011. The exam will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012. You can apply for XAT 2012 by visiting the XLRI website and register online. The payment can be done online. Otherwise, you can also visit the select Axis Bank branches to make the payment. The XLRI prospectus would be sent to the address as given by you at the time of XAT registration. The XAT 2012 application fee is Rs. 900.
XAT 2012 scores will be accepted by 101 B-schools across India. XAT 2012 will be a paper based test.
SNAP 2011
The registration deadline for SNAP 2011, the entrance exam for the institutes under Symbiosis International University is Wednesday, November 23, 2011. The date of the entrance exam is Sunday, December 18, 2011. SNAP is a paper pencil based test. There are three steps in the SNAP 2011 registration process. You have to upload a latest scanned photograph at the time of online registration. This will generate your SNAP ID. The registration fee for SNAP 2011 is Rs. 1550. The Admit Cards will be available from Tuesday, December 6, 2011 to Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the SNAP website. You have to bring the Admit Card and a Photo ID Card to the test center.
