In today's article, we will discuss the admission process of one of the reputed private B-schools of India which has expanded its campus in three major cities, International Management Institute (IMI).

In today’s article, we will discuss the admission process of one of the reputed private B-schools of India which has expanded its campus in three major cities, International Management Institute (IMI).

IMI has campuses in Delhi, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. The admission process of all the three campuses are going on at present and the last date to apply is Friday, November 18, 2011. Read further to know about the B-School Admission criteria:

Program & Seats

The flagship program of all the three campuses is PGDM. The number of seats offered is 120 in Delhi and Kolkata campuses and 60 in Bhubaneswar campus.

Eligibility

The candidates who have completed their graduation with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate from a recognized University are eligible to apply. “The bachelors’ degree or equivalent qualification obtained by you must entail a minimum of three years education after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent,” IMI mentions.

Short listing criteria

The candidates are short listed on the basis of the percentile obtained in CAT and the profile of the candidate. The cut off percentile will be determined after the CAT 2011 results are declared. “The cut off will vary according to the composition and profile of the applications received by each Campus,” mentions Dr. P C Mehra, Professor & Admission Chairperson (Delhi & Bhubaneswar).

Selection Criteria

Dr. Mehra mentions, “The selection process will be multi faceted, involving scores being allocated to 10th, 12th and Graduation marks apart from relevant work experience and academic stream. The objective is to have diversity in the class rather than a skew in favor of one stream or the other.”

Fees

The tuition fee for PGDM program in IMI Delhi will be Rs. 8, 76, 000. The total fee is Rs. 10.77 lakh for the year 2012-14. The total fee was Rs. 9.80 lakh in 2011-13.

The tuition fee for IMI Bhubaneswar is Rs. 6. 36 lakh. The total fee for 2011-13 and 2012-14 batches are 7.89 lakh.

IMI Kolkata tuition fee is Rs. 8.59 lakh and the total fee is Rs. 10 lakh for the 2011-13 batch. The fee may or may not change in the 2012-14 batch.
