The months of November, December, and January are critical for MBA aspirants. After the end of CAT 2011 exam, some of the major MBA entrance exams are going to be held in these months. SNAP 2011 is one of them. The registrations are going to close for the exam on 23 November.

To gain admission in the MBA institutes of Symbiosis International University you will have to crack this exam. If you are a SNAP aspirant, then it is quite common that you have lot of questions in your mind regarding the exam.

Q: Gopal: What is the application fee for SICSR Pune? What are the admission criteria for the institute?

A: Rs. 1000 per program which can be MBA (IT) or M. Sc (CA). Student graduated from any of the UGC recognized University is eligible to apply for the programme but should have scored more than 50 per cent in graduation.

Q: Gopal: I have done my B.Tech in Computer Science. Does SICSR offer doctorate degree as well?

A: Yes we have an Integrated MBA-PhD offered by Symbiosis International University for which SICSR MBA_IT students are considered. We have started it from this year.

Q: Vinit: I am expecting 72 to 75 marks in SNAP 2011. Is there any scope for me to get a call from SITM or SICSR? What are the other institutes I can apply for? I am an electronics engineer. Is MBA in IT a good scope for me?

A: Yes, with these scores you definitely stand a chance in SICSR. For SITM, you will have to ask them. MBA (IT) is very good in fact most of the people try to get into IT with an Engineering background.

Q: Anirbit Bhattacharya: I am in my final year and it is supposed to be completed by June 2011. In case my University exam gets delayed, will I be able to take SNAP in 2011 or continue with the MBA program?

A: You can take the SNAP for 2011 namely SNAP 2011 despite your exam delay.

Q: Mohd. Ateeb khan: Hello sir. I am an OC candidate and I a m expecting a score of 70 in SNAP 2011. Which colleges shall I apply for? Is there any chance of getting a seat in SITM?

A: You can apply for SICSR. You definitely stand a chance in SICSR. Can’t say about SITM. You can check with the institute for the admission criteria.

Q: Mukul: Is there any GD, PI or Essay Writing process conducted after short listing the candidates?

A: We have a GD, PI for short listing and no essay writing.

Q: Himanshu: I am preparing for SNAP. As there is less than a month left, I am very scared. What kind of questions can I expect in the General Awareness section? Is there any study material available especially for SNAP? Please help!

A: I think getting scared is not right, you can crack the exam. We do not share past papers but you can check online on who can help you. We don’t provide any study material.

Q: Kiran: I am a final year student of B. Tech, Computer Science. What was the SICSR cut off for last year? What are the future prospects of this course?

A: SICSR MBA (IT) cutoff was 95 and M.Sc. (CA) was 66 last year.

Q: Arun: I am in 3rd year of BBA. May I know how much percentage requires taking admission in SNAP for MBA in Marketing?

A: Arun this depends on institute to institute of Symbiosis depending on their cut off SNAP score. But for all institutes you should have 50 per cent in graduation.
