Even while CAT 2007 is a month away, test-prep institutes have already started pitching at students aiming for CAT 2008.

Secunderabad-based TIME (Triumphant Institute of Management Education), one of the leading MBA training institutes, organized a seminar on MBA as a career option on September 16 at its different study centers including Delhi, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon. The theme of the seminar was ‘Chak De! CAT 2008’.

The seminar was all about discussing various important aspirant-centric questions like Why MBA?, Specializations in MBA, Career Options after MBA, What is CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP etc?, How to prepare for various written exams, Good B-schools and their selection process, What happens at GD/PI stage?, When should I start preparing for CAT? etc.

Mr Ritesh Jain, a faculty member at TIME’s Ghaziabad center, shared the career options after MBA with eager students at the seminar. He said, “MBAs are in great demand. Consultancy firms, the banking sector and IT companies are hot sectors for MBAs.”

On the query that how one should start preparing for CAT and other written exams, Mr Jain suggested, “Students should start their preparations as soon as possible. The earlier you start, the better you get. The first thing you should do is understand your capability and tell yourself that nothing is difficult.”

At the end of the seminar, faculty members talked about the uniqueness of TIME and said, “We can only help students prepare by sharing strategies for success in the exams. We are students-centric and that’s why we are different from others.”

TIME was established in 1992 by three MBA grads -- two from the IIMs and one from XLRI -- in Hyderabad. Today, it has 136 offices in 72 cities across the country. According to TIME, in the last 15 years, it has grown into a specialist, multi-location, multi-program training provider running on corporate lines.
