Deutsche Bank wins Tata Crucible Business Quiz 2007

The team of Vibendhu Tiwari and Rajiv Rai from Deutsche Bank has won the National Finals of 'Tata Crucible – The Business Quiz 2007', held on September 20 in Mumbai, in a 'winner takes it all' grand finale amongst 12 regional winner teams.
The Chief Guest Mr. Ravi Kant, Managing Director, Tata Motors Limited gave away a cash prize of Rs. 2 Lakhs to the national winning team. Besides Deutsche Bank other 11 teams contesting at the National Finals included Savoir Faire, Satyam, Questa Software, KPMG, Accenture, Yahoo, Vizag Steel, Library on Net, Abhishek Industries, SKS Micro Finance and Bhilai Steel.
The quiz featured four rounds namely Business Quickies, World of Business, Tata World and Tata Crucible 2007. According to Tata Crucible, "With each round the degree of difficulty was giving a great challenge to all the contestants to think faster. This quiz competition also featured around the deployment of innovative and interesting questions that tested the teams not only on their understanding of business but presence of mind, teamwork and decision making as well."
Speaking about the quiz, Mr. Romit Chatterji, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs Department, Tata Services said, "What makes the quiz unique is the format of the questions put to the teams. The contestants, however, learned that they had to use their presence of mind. You need to be mentally agile to survive a competition of this kind."
In the internal track, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) team of Sabyasaschi Chandra and G. Sreekanth from Kolkata emerged victorious as the Tata Champions.  
Quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a Pickbrain with his interactive style of quizzing and witty sense of humor had the audience on the edge of their seats and kept the excitement going. 
The evening witnessed some more quizzing and healthy competition between 12 teams contesting at the National Finals. According to Tata Crucibal, "Each of these teams had already won a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 as regional finalists. At the National finals, they took away as gifts video camera, holiday packages from Ginger and Titan watches in addition to the cash prize and the trophies for National Winner team.
