The General Awareness section is of moderate to tough difficulty level. Questions are a steady mix of static GK and current affairs. Since IIFT does not have a fixed number of questions in this section, the weightage cannot be predicted beforehand.

• General Awareness is a mixed bag. You cannot predict the types of questions. Make sure you prepare for international affairs.

• Make sure you prepare enough to get the cut off. But attempt only those questions which you are absolutely sure of as there is negative marking involved.
• If you are well prepared, then attempt as many questions as possible as General Awareness is the most scoring section.
• Don’t spend much time on this section. You will either know the answer or you don’t. There is no room for wild guess.
• Attempt this section after completing other sections. While skimming through the questions at the beginning, mark the ones which you want to attempt. This will save your time at the end of the exam and leave scope for revision.
• The must prepare topics are business, country-capital-currency-Parliament, literature, sports, national and international awards, locations of international organizations, economics, etc.
