There is just a day left for SNAP 2012 exam, to be held on December 16, 2012. In the remaining few hours, there is nothing extra which you can prepare. You should rather take last-minute preparation for hassles-free D-Day. This article of MBAUniverse.com shares with you the points which you should keep in mind for the exam day. The test will be held in test centers of 30 cities.

Now let us focus on the 10 top practical tips.

Reach test centre an hour in advance: You have to reach the test centre an hour before the test starts, by 1 pm. The check-in procedure will start from 1.30 pm. If you come after 2 pm, you will not be allowed to take the test.

Documents to carry: The documents that you have to carry include the SNAP 2012 admit card, photo identity card including passport, driving licence, voter ID card, pan card, college or institute’s identity card and credit card with photograph. You have to mark your answers in black ball point pen, so make sure to carry that as well.

What not to carry: Your personal belongings such as cell phones, calculators, and watches or any other electronic devices will not be allowed inside the test centre.  But the list is not restricted to these items only.

Take the right seat: Your seat number will be mentioned in the admit card, and you have to sit in that particular seat only. The seat number will also be pasted on the desk allotted for you.

Check your test booklet: After taking your allotted seat, you will get three test booklets. You have to select and open the correct one, the program for which you have applied. The booklets will be named as SNAP, SIG (M. Sc. Geoinformatics) and SIMC (MMC). You must check that the pages of the booklet are in order. “In the rare event of the test booklet being defective, bring it to the notice of the invigilator immediately who will arrange for the replacement if required,” mentions SNAP authorities.

Duration: The duration of the exam is two hours. The exam will start from 2 pm and will be concluded at 4 pm. You will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the stipulated time.

During the test: As SNAP is a paper-pencil-based test, you will have to mark the answers in OMR sheet. You can start the exam with any section. You will be given scratch sheets to carry out your rough work. You have to submit the same before leaving the exam hall.

After the exam: You will be allowed to leave the test center only after 4 pm. The invigilator will collect your OMR sheet. The invigilator or a representative of Symbiosis Test Secretariat will stamp and authenticate your admit card.
SNAP pattern: There are four sections in SNAP. They are General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability; Quantitative: Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency; General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Each wrong answer will have 25 per cent negative marking.

SNAP 2012 Result: The result of SNAP 2012 will be declared on January 10, 2013.
