ITM Business School organizes Leadership Convention and Asia Brand Summit

Mumbai based Institute of Technology and Management (ITM) Business School has organized a series of management events in past few weeks.

Its two-day Asia Brand Summit was held on September 26 and 27, while its 9th Annual convention on Leadership 2007 was held on September 28.  

ITM's 9th Annual convention on Leadership 2007 'Leveraging Human Potential' was organized under the aegis of the P.N. Singh Foundation. The convention aimed at learning leadership models from various successful organizations. The Theme for this convention was 'Leadership lessons for young managers'. Mr Subir Raha, Former Chairman, ONGC spoke on convention theme. It was followed by Mr WKH Wegapitiya Chairman, Laugfs Holding Ltd Srilanka. Mr Wegapitiya took the audiences through his journey of building a business from scratch. Mr Jignesh Shah, Chairman, MCX Commodities Exchange of India also spoke to students on his leadership lessons.  

During the convention, Prof Arindan Chaudhari of IIPM Delhi explained the six concepts of producing leaders at Management Insitutes. Mr NM Kondop, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University spoke on the topic of leadership. Dr.Bindesh Pathak, Founder of Sulabh International, spoke on leadership in the social sector. In his speech he highlighted the success story of Sulabh Sanitation Movement.  

Other speakers at the convention included K.S Bhullar, Anand Group Development, Mr KG Kutty, Bajaj Auto, Mr Balyan, Director HR, ONGC, PL Arya, Director, N.L Dalmiya Institute of Management and Dr Y K Bhushan, Senior Advisor, ICFAI Business School. 

ITM Business School also sponsored the Asia Brand Summit on 26th and 27th September in Mumbai.  

At the Asia Brand Summit, the Keynote addresses given by Renée Mauborgne on "The Blue Ocean Strategy" and by Joseph Michelli on the "The Starbucks Experience" offered insights into how the world of marketing is evolving and that how one can create a space for oneself. The session with Renée Mauborgne emphasized on how companies can leverage from creating the "Blue Oceans" for themselves amidst the "Red Oceans" of intense competition.  

Other interactive sessions shared insights from companies like Lenovo, Interbrand, Star India, Castrol, Starcom, Zapak.com, Kingfisher, Nokia, and many others.  

The Institute for Technology and Management (ITM) was founded with an academic association with The Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), USA. The ITM Group of Business Schools has grown from one Business School in Mumbai, to 7 campuses by the year 2004. Starting with a 2 year fulltime Masters program in 1991, The ITM Group of Business Schools is currently conducting 15 programs, in a broad range of fields including Financial Markets, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Risk Management, Human Resources etc.
