The theme of this edition of Confluence will be 'India Towards Economic Leadership'. Says IIM-A, "In the decades after independence, India has transformed itself from being an agriculture-based economy to a global player in manufacturing and services. Confluence 2007 will attempt to capture the essence of this transformation and India's march towards becoming a leading global economy." Tata Group is the lead partner of event.

The event will consist of four sessions: Challenges to Opportunities, Sustainability and Inclusive Growth, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Global Footprints. Confluence '07 will also see events such as MasterPlan, a Business Plan Competition; MouseTrap, an Online Strategy Simulation Game; LiveStock, a Live Trading Game and BizQuizitive, the Business Quiz. Workshops by the leading industry professionals and Management Simulation Games will also be held.
Confluence is guided by an advisory committee. According to IIM-A, the mentor of Confluence is Mr. Deepak Parekh, HDFC Ltd. Mr. Ramadorai, CEO and MD, Tata Consultancy is the Chairman of Services area.
