The participants of the one-day seminar (held on 1st October, 2015) were invited to visit GOONJ’s (NGO) Processing Centre at Sarita Vihar on 6th November, 2015. The students were from SOM and ECE Department. Basically, there could be hundreds of issues being talked about but GOONJ makes clothing an important issue. This visit to the Processing Centre helped the students to deeply understand how a piece of cloth could be utilized till the last shred. Here the clothes are cleaned, repaired, if any, sorted,  and packed according to various criteria like age, gender, wearable, un-wearable, woollen etc. Then based on the requirement expressed by the rural partner groups, the material goes to different parts of the country by trucks. While going round the Processing Centre, the students came up with a flurry of questions related to funds, training of the employees, contributions, transportation, challenges faced etc.
