As part of the campaign, 4th Indian Management Conclave has invited B-schools & University MBA Departments to nominate their successful initiative
B-schools across India will get an opportunity to showcase their innovative practices, ideas and initiatives implemented in last 6 to 24 months, at 4th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) on August 2-3, 2013 in New Delhi.

To identify solutions to various challenges in MBA Education sector, 4th Indian Management Conclave organized by MBAUniverse.com, has recently started a campaign for researching, disseminating and recognizing the best-practices, ideas and initiatives that are making positive impact in different B-schools.

Nomination begins

With the Conclave theme ‘Enhancing the value of Indian MBA’, the IMC 2013 seeks solutions to the crises facing Management Education in India.  As part of the campaign, 4th Indian Management Conclave has invited B-schools & University MBA Departments to share their successful initiative on one or more sub-themes below:

Sub-Theme 1:
Effective Demand Management: Developing successful engagement programs & finding niches

Sub-Theme 2: Improving Core Product: Revisiting the Program Architecture

Sub-Theme 3: Improving Core Product: Innovations in Curriculum Delivery

Sub-Theme 4: Effective Industry-Institute engagement

B-schools can click MBAUniverse.com/imc2013 to download the Nomination Form and submit the same by June 10, 2013.


The best 3 initiatives in each category will be awarded and highlighted at 4th Indian Management Conclave organised by MBAUniverse.com on August 2-3, 2013 in New Delhi.

Top B-school directors in Jury

An eminent jury comprising Top B-school Directors and VCs will judge the nominations by different B-schools.  The eminent Jury members include Fr E Abraham, Director, XLRI, Jamshedpur; Dr Debasish Chaterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode; Dr Devi Singh, Director, IIM Lucknow; Dr Pritam Singh, DG, IMI & former director IIM L; Dr Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University, Mumbai; and Dr Shesha Iyer, Director, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai.

Professor Debashis Chatterjee has taught leadership classes at Harvard University and at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Calcutta, Lucknow, and Kozhikode, for nearly two decades. A pioneer in the field of Asian models in leadership, Professor Chatterjee is currently Director of the IIM, Kozhikode.

Professor Devi Singh, currently serving his second term as Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and is a well-known Professor in the area of International Finance & Management. Before joining IIML, he was director of Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon for four and half years.

Fr E Abraham is the Director of XLRI and Professor of Organizational Behaviour. Earlier he was the Director of XIMB. He also worked as Joint Director of the Academy of HRD, and the President of the Association of Indian Management Schools. He has professional affiliation to a number of organisations at the national and international level.

Dr. Pritam Singh, DG, IMI, has been the chairman and member of several policymaking committees and bodies of Government of India, and is widely consulted on policy issues that surround both management education and corporate management in India. As an academic administrator, he has an unparalleled record, having held two highly successful tenures as Director, MDI, Gurgaon (1994-1998 & 2003-2006) as also at IIM Lucknow (1998-2003).

NMIMS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajan Saxena has held positions like Director of IIM, Indore &  S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research and Dean of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He has been in management education since 1972 and has over 37 years of professional experience in management education, research, consulting and institution building.

Dr. Sesha Iyer, Director, SPJIMR has a blend of academic and industrial experience. After 14 years of working in Public Sector Undertakings like HMT and Kochin Refineries, Dr. Sesha Iyer took charge as Principal of Fr. Concei Cao Rodrigues College of Engineering in 1985. A Guest Faculty at SPJIMR since 1998, Dr. Iyer joined S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research as a Core Faculty, (Professor International Cadre) in 2006 and now working as its Director.

Closing the nomination process: June 10, 2013

Summarizing & sharing the nomination entries with Jury: June 23, 2013

Finalization of Results: June 30, 2013

Calling selected entries to present at IMC on Aug 2-3: July 1, 2013

Documenting (as a case-book) the selected cases: July 20, 2013
